What a busy last couple weeks! We are focusing on Habit 6: Synergize. Teamwork has been a frequent topic. We brainstormed how to work together on the playground, in class and at home.
Students are enjoying the non-fiction writing unit. We finished up our Native American book. I hope you get a chance to read them this weekend! We learned all about how they used buffalo, their homes, jobs, the first Thanksgiving and Squanto. Last week, our librarian organized a traveling Native American history trunk from the Greene Co. History Museum. The kids loved learning about and seeing Osage artifacts, animal bones and animal pelts! It has been so fun getting into our new science standards. We launched a weather unit, and learning about tornadoes is a class favorite. Students experimented with a tornado in a jar—mason jar 3/4 full of water, along with a dash of soap and some glitter. When rotated quickly in a circular motion, students witnessed a funnel. Just a heads up, the students have a sub Thursday, November 30. I am out for a science meeting. Also, our next math test is Friday, December 1. Snack Helpers Monday- Braylen Tuesday- Cadence Wednesday- No School Thursday- No School Friday- No School
