We worked on writing reviews of books, movies, games, restaurants, etc. They enjoyed sharing with their friends! Our opinion writing unit is coming to an end, so students turn in a couple final pieces to me this week.
The Read-a-Thon fundraiser is still up and running! I've been logging minutes we read at school, but if your child has a page, you can log minutes at home. Friendly reminder that the Book Fair starts tomorrow and Family Reading Night is Thursday. Snack Helpers this week Monday- Grayson Tuesday- Gavin Wednesday- Roman Thursday- Kinley T Friday- Kyanna

We finished Topic 9 in math and jumped right into 10. To keep up with and improve on our addition facts within 10, we do Rocket Math and fluency games once a week. Overall, I've noticed a big difference!
Students enjoyed the love/kindness theme for shared reading last week. Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch was a favorite. For Writer's Workshop, we continued opinion pieces and worked on poetry. This awful sickness is still going around our school and classroom. I hate to see so many of our students out and under the weather. Hopefully it's close to the end. Those who were at the party last Friday had a great time! Friendly reminder to check out the Read-a-Thon fundraiser information that came home. Please let me know if you have any questions. The Book Fair starts next Monday, and Family Reading Night is next Thursday. Snack Helpers this week Monday- Bentley Tuesday- Easton Wednesday- Matthew Thursday- Hunter Friday- Kynlee P |
