Students worked hard finishing up the final book of their series. We had a beach-themed celebration outside and read our favorite book to a classmate. For Shared Reading, we practiced making connections (text to self, text to text and text to world) to a story.
We completed our final math unit, fractions, and took the test. Everyone met the goal and scored a 3.0 or higher! We are working on addition and subtraction fluency and revisiting first semester standards for the remainder of the year. For science, we continued our plant unit and started growing seeds in different conditions. We practiced short and long oo. We will review long i, or/ore, er/ir/ur, ow/ou.
